Lending to Borrowing Implementation Transition

Librarians are trained by Atlas, and generally turn on the Lending operation only during the course of their ILLiad implementation. The transition to Borrowing takes additional planning. WiLS will step in at this point. This is a session that will allow the new user(s) of ILLiad to have their questions about Lending answered, and get them to their ‘installation’ day of starting Borrowing. By the end of the session, Borrowing of ILLiad will be turned on.

Post-implementation training

This is a session that will allow you a chance to get many of the new questions you have about how to use ILLiad effectively answered, and discuss how to refine your workflow to utilize all the capabilities ILLiad has to offer.

Basic Refresher Training

This is a session that will allow a user group or a single institution to gather its day-to-day resource sharing staff, their technical support team, and administration for an ILLiad refresher course. Highlights will be: moderated communication with the entire resource sharing team, Customization manager, routing rules, email routing, and Odyssey.

Advanced Training

This is a session that will allow a user group or a single institution to gather its day-to-day resource sharing staff, their technical support team, and administration for an ILLiad advanced course. Highlights will be: moderated communication with the entire resource sharing team, exposer to reports (web and access), webpage design, Billing Manager, routing rules, and the customization manager.

New Hire Training

This is a session that will allow a user group or a single institution for an ILLiad ‘new user’ course. The focus is to get the day-to-day resource sharing librarians who are new to ILLiad up to speed. Highlights will be: Document Delivery, Borrowing, Lending, and Odyssey

Point of need consulting

Members have the option to contact a specific list of WiLS ILLiad experts for any problems that need immediate attention. Any questions related to Borrowing, Document Delivery, Lending, and technical support will be acceptable.

Workflow Project Mediation

Whether your institution is on the cusp of starting a new resource sharing service or analyzing your workflow, the WiLS resource-sharing consultants can help to support you through this transition. The WiLS consultants will: conduct a full workflow analysis, assist with the implementation of new projects and services (ILLiad, Billing Manager, Odyssey Helper, Odyssey Standalone, etc…), assist with performing new customizations, and provide project management.  When solving difficult problems, we can act as facilitators with Atlas and OCLC.
